How to practice this
Work through the A section transcription, then take the ideas and make them your own. The B section material is MUCH HARDER than the A, and is almost never played or addressed, despite (or maybe because of) the brilliance of the drumming. Work through the main groove, get the cells into your hands, work out some different bass drum patterns against the systems provided, and work to develop flow in the style.
